Open Attempt responses
Pending questions appear before already graded ones to make review easier.
Assess each answer
- Read the prompt, submitted answer and available criteria or rubric.
- Check the maximum score before entering the grade.
- Add pedagogical feedback when it helps explain your decision.
- Save review and confirm the response is no longer pending.
- Repeat until the attempt has no open reviews.
Suggestions and batch grading
When AI assistance is enabled, evaluators can request suggestions for short, open and media analysis answers or start batch grading with an explicit scope. Programming is excluded. The interface shows expected or applied usage and protects manual grades according to the selected mode.
Review the suggested score, breakdown and confidence warnings. Accept, reject or replace suggestions based on evidence; a response can remain pending if manual review is needed or saving failed.
Finalize grading
When every expected response has a valid score and no reviews remain pending, use the finalization action. Total points are recalculated from saved values.
If pending items remain, reopen the flagged responses. Do not treat a provisional sum as a complete final grade.

Frequently asked questions
Can I change a score after saving?
The interface lets you review responses and save the appropriate grade. Check the attempt’s final state after any change.
What if an AI suggestion is unsuitable?
Reject it or save your own review. A suggestion does not replace the evaluator’s judgment.
