Curriculum alignment

Competency-based assessment with traceability to questions

EvaluatIA lets you explicitly decide for each assessment: use an available official framework, custom competencies or no competencies. The choice belongs to that assessment and is not inferred automatically from your account.

A curriculum decision for each assessment

First select the country or educational context. Then choose a competency system: official framework, custom competencies or No competencies. Choosing a country does not activate a framework by itself.

Official frameworks appear only when a published version exists for that context. Availability and coverage can vary; the interface identifies the package, version and full or partial coverage.

How to set up alignment

  1. Select the context

Choose country, level, grade and subject when the applicable catalog requires them.

  2. Define the system

Use an available framework, a compatible custom structure or confirm that the assessment will have no competencies.

  3. Narrow the scope

You can use the whole package or a selection of competencies and indicators.

  4. Confirm and assign

Save the decision and review which questions provide evidence for each competency.

What competency results show

With aligned questions and graded responses, analysis can show coverage, results, errors, partial credit, unanswered and pending responses. It also retains the questions behind each group’s evidence. Coverage describes the available mapping; it does not alone demonstrate student mastery.

One question can contribute to multiple competencies. Do not add group counts as if they were unique questions.

AI can suggest links between questions and competencies in the selected framework. The evaluator must review and correct alignment that does not represent what the question measures.

Curriculum selection for the Dominican Republic

The catalog only shows published packages and may have partial coverage. Current availability does not mean every country, level, grade or subject is covered; missing curriculum details must be indicated by the interface.

In the Dominican Republic workflow, available combinations show specific competencies and achievement indicators. Some texts are identified as source-based summaries; they must not be treated as official quotations.

Direct answers

Frequently asked questions

Is competency-based assessment mandatory?

No. Each assessment can confirm No competencies when that approach is appropriate.

Does my account preference decide for the exam?

No. It can suggest an initial value, but each assessment confirms and saves its own decision.

Are competency results always available?

No. They need usable question alignment and graded responses. Pending results and limited coverage are shown separately.
